How the fuck did ATL make $4.4 million? Didn't people see it already when (the more entertaining -- and better quality film) Roll Bounce was released to movie theaters last September?
Too bad for Slither. It's really an enjoyable b-movie. However, I'm amused that Basic Instinct 2 is DOA.

Great timing for Ice Age. A couple times in the past few weeks my sons and I said "let's go to a movie" but nothing was playing. Parents have been waiting for a film ta take their kids to (that they'd also enjoy) for a while now.
We're seeing it today. Add $18 to those millions. (3 $6 matinee tix)

Good timing. I read in Newsweek that Larry the Cable Guy is the top stand up in the US as far as box office tickets(or receipts, can't remember which). I was amazed at that.

Glad to see Inside Man is still doing well. That should pave the way nicely for Lee's Joe Louis film.

I think the ads for ATL have been aimed for souther urban areas because it has been playing non-stop in urban sourthern areas (Birmingham, Atlanta, Knoxville) on all channels. I actually got sick of seeing it.

i can't believe the piddling bo for "Sliter" especially considering the mostly positive reviews. i guess most don't go for the horror ones that have that comic edge. too bad for them and us if a sequel is not to be made because of.

I think the real kiss of death for slither was that "Somebody heeeeeeeelp me!" fatty. You can sell horror, much like the hills have eyes. But you have a harder time selling the extreme gore.
