Twilight Zone Definitive Editions 1-5 (Sam's Club) cheap

Sam's club has all 5 of the box sets for 59.88. I did the math and it's slightly better than waiting for the 20% off at DDD. I bought all five and the lone gunman for 336.32. the lone gunman was like 18 bucks.

did you factor tax into the equation. DDD doesn't charge it.

You can find these sets cheaper on Amazon Marketplace.

Has anyone heard if Image plans to issue these in a complete series set, as they did with The Dick Van Dyke Show? It likewise had five seasons, although I think the individual season sets had a lower MSRP than the TZ sets.

I don't know if Image is doing anything special, but DDD is selling them as a set. You can get it for $345.80 ($69.16 per season) or if you wait till June (most likely) it will be $276.64 ($55.32 per season) I don't know if this still includes the excellent TZ Companion book or not as it was my understanding it was a limited extra with Season 1. If it doesn't come with it, buy it anyway, it's essential to any real fan of the show.

Seems like when-- or if-- DDD has it's 20% off sale, that will be the better deal, according to SRGilbert's math, but the difference may not be worth the inconvenience of waiting or even hoping for the sale. Personally, I will wait and see, as I am not a Sam's member, and the DVDs aren't that high on my wishlist (though I did use to watch the day-long marathons on TV when I was a kid).

yeah i was a little wrong but still a great deal if you don't want to wait for the 20% sale at ddd.
also they had the limited edition scarface boxset for 36, the brat pack set for 29, alien boxset for 58, and a few others.

Well, then again, the deal I posted is really only usefull to those who haven't bought ANY of the sets yet. Otherwise, to Sam's members who want to complete the collection, your post is great!

And there is the little matter of the $35 a year to belong to Sam's Club, but there are no "membership" charges for DDD.

Of course, a person is not going to join Sam's just to only buy a few DVDs, but it is a extra cost factor per item that varies depending on how much you buy there on a yearly basis.

Make that $40 a year for regular, non-business folks.
