It's about damn time! I popped in the current DVD a couple weeks ago and was reminded how pathetic it is. Non-anamorphic, 2.0 audio, no English subtitles, and hardly any extras. And it came in a snapper to boot.
I guess they were waiting for the 15th anniversary to make amends. Thankfully we'll finally get to see John Lithgow as Harry Zell.

As mentioned please review the rules about threadcrapping http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=235044 Since this is a thread about the DVD and not the movie itself your remarks are out of place. If you want to start a general thread about the quality of the movie please feel free to do so in the Movie forum (or there might already be one there, I haven't checked ).
thx

It seemed to me a very prescient film for some reason. It wasn't a comedy in the laugh-out loud manner, but more a diatribe on the future of modern life, which usually springs from LA.

one of martin's best and one of my favorite movies.
hopefully the deleted scenes featuring John Lithgow will be on there.
lots of beautiful and dreamlike imagery in the movie.
especially the scene when martin and victoria tennant turn into children.

Wonderful film. Of course, more easily appreciated for those that were living in LA during this early 1990s period (where these exaggerated stereotypes weren't too far from the truth). This is a movie that really makes me miss LA every now and then.
Would like to see the once promised commentary, but will upgrade either way.
Looking forward to it!

Fifteen years, damn i feel old(and at 30 that's saying something). I remember the cut scene with Lithgow was such a big thing when they first aired it on Showtime, Lithgow even introduced the movie and then explained his cut scene at the end(either that or they actually showed a cut of the film with the scene intact).
One of my first dvds and it really deserves an upgrade.
