From that top 10 list I watch all but three:

Battlestar Gallactica: But only because I didn't get in on the beginning. I'll catch up eventually on DVD.

Everwood: I'll never watch it.

Veronica Mars: Doubt I'll ever watch it.

There's only one show on their top 10 list I've ever seen: Veronica Mars.

I just jumped on the Veronica Mars bandwaggon after buying the first season. I didn't think I would like it either but it is very good.
Ashame they even pit Reality Shows on there.

If you're not watching Everwood then you're missing one of the best shows on TV. Don't think you'll find better writting and developed characters and actors anywhere on tv that cover the entire cast.

i was wondering, is Everwood and well, Gilmore girls easy to get into without knowing the main backstory, (with the proposed back to back of gg and vm on tuesdays)

Both Gilmore Girls and Everwood are shows you could probably get into with little more than a perusal of an episode guide, but watching them on DVD (which I don't think you can do with Everwood past S1) would be much better. Gilmore Girls is really a comedy at heart, and a lot of the humor comes from knowing the lesser characters. Everwood is a really intense drama, and the backstories of the characters (particularly Bright) really enhance what is going on right now.

If anybody wants to jump on Everwood, the best time to do it is probably starting on Monday with the 2 episodes back to back. I expect that they'll do their best to make the show understandable with an extra long recap up front.

Ummm... Is there some reason I wouldn't want to visit a beautiful, opulent office building in Boston? Did W. write that list?

No Numb3rs and no E-Ring.

This is the part of the thread where the first post to bash how awful Entertainment Weekly is should be.

Actually, not a bad list.....for watching everything.

I think their top 10 list is pretty great. I'd swap the order around for sure (shield = #1) and give CSI and Law and Order the boot for Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break, but other than that, they pretty much nailed it.

Including Everwood and Battlestar really adds to the cred of the list. These are two of the best shows on TV that not enough people are watching and really transcend their respective genres.

Heh, that list was instantly irrelevant with their number 1 pick. They don't even put One Tree Hill in the soap or teen list? One Tree Hill is, without a doubt, the best show nobody's watching.

I have so far behind on my Battlestar Galactica viewing, but I'll be getting caught up via DVDs, probably in the summertime.

I don't watch any of the Law & Orders, but I do watch the rest of the top 10 on that list.

The first season was money. The second has been a giant clusterfuck.

I'd put Veronica Mars in the top 3. It's better than many of the shows on that list.

they actually rip "one tree hill" a new asshole in one of the reviews for another show. under the listing for the show "cheerleader nation" no. 2 in teen shows it says "theres more drama in watching a petrified freshman freezing up on her handspring then watching an entire season of "one tree hill"
and "the daily show is no.1 in "talkshows"
