Special edition dvds

Just a quick question.

I noticed over here that we don't seem to get recent special editions dvds. Like Dumb & Dumber. Instead, I can only get the regular editions with no special features.

However, I've found a site that has the American releases aswell. It has the updated Tommy Boy, 12 Monkeys, Dumb and Dumber etc, that I can't get here. The versions here have nothing on them.

My question is does anyone know a site that has a list of re-released dvds with added special editions. Like the Dumb & Dumber dvd.

Thanks.

I know it's a stupid question and all, but I wasted my money buying 12 monkeys and Dumb & Dumberer, not knowing they had sepcial editions for region 1, which wern't released here.

http://www.dvdcompare.net/

I always check there before making a purchase. The only thing to make note of is that dvdcompare.net only has comparisons AFTER the DVD is released. I do a lot of pre-ordering, so I have to take extra steps to make sure I make the right purchase.

A question for you: Where's "here"?

I use a combination of the following to determine the best region:

http://www.dvdcompare.net/
http://www.dvd-basen.dk/uk/home.php3
http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/compare.htm

If that's not good enough, then I knuckle down and try and compare based on back covers, press releases, any screenshots I can find on the net, comparisons that others may have put together on forums such as this one, etc.

I'm mostly interested in picture and sound quality, plus director's cut, etc, rather than extras. I rarely give a damn about extras.

I went through my whole collection (pretty sad..)

The only ones I need to rebuy are;

Dumb & Dumber
Bill and Ted
Orgazmo
The Truman Show
Weird Science
12 Monkeys
Meet Joe Black
Tommy Boy

Not that bad.

Oh, thanks for the sites.

EDIT:

True Lies. The R2 version has 20 cuts in it. I want in uncut. Big Lebowski aswell. Didn't notice.
