That was great.
Also liked Marge's Flanders-English / English-Flanders dictionary (and Ned's Simpsons-English / English-Simpsons dictionary... "Woo hoo")

Agreed. I can't recall another episode this season that I actually enjoyed like this.

Wow.
The episode last week made my personal top ten of all time. I can't wait to be able to sit down and watch this one.
I've really enjoyed this season so far.

Much more of an early series style episode, with the limited storylines and more realistic family-oriented approach (at least to the Marge/Flanders part, as far as realism is concerned). Ironically, I didn't like it all that much. Although it's always nice to have a Mr.Teeny (err, "Louis") appearance.

Didn't enjoy it as much as last week, but still got plenty of laughs. Really enjoyed the cameos during the credits.

something has changed in the last 2 episodes, the pace seems to be classic simpsons and the gags are very numerous and well thought out.
I'm liking this.

I agree with most of you that this was actually a pretty good ep. I certainly liked the fact that it got more realistic with Rod and Todd. Making two characters who have always been incredibly unrealistic grow up a little helps offset the unbelievable cartooniness (Is that even a word?) that Homer has become. I also liked how the stories came together at the end.

The best part was him wrapping the tree with bubble wrap.
