It's neither of both, as it is going to sell a ton of copies.

I've talked to people who have played copies, and they said not only was it well done, it tied in to the movies in a smart way. It's also got the voices of all the original actors, except for Pacino. They even got Brando before he died.

I think it turned out pretty well, nothing that will raise the dead but gameplay is fun.
