I'm sorry to say that the extras are nearly non-existant. It has the theatrical trailer and some text biographies on the cast. That is it.

It does have the two versions on the disc (NC-17 and R).

The film is anamorphic 2.35:1 and the transfer is pretty crisp and clean from what I remember. I don't remember any issues with it, but it's been maybe 5 months since my last viewing.

I have no idea on a Criterion release, however, Criterion did a LD release. That makes me think a DVD at this point is unlikely, because if it had been possible would have likely been published by now.

I'm assuming you have seen the movie, so I won't go into that. It's (probably) safe to say that if you are a fan of Cronenberg (specifically his less mainstream work), you will like Crash. It's quite edgy and sexual, to say the least. But good stuff.

It's 1.85:1, isn't it?

Oops, I think you are correct. I was watching 24 at the time, so I didn't put the disc in my DVDp and was going by memory. I will double check everything tonight, but you are probably correct.

The transfer is very good, but could have been better. That's why I am praying for Criterion to do a LD to DVD upgrade on it.

Here is a review for ya:
