Steve Reich anyone?

Steve Reich anyone?
I haven't heard a particularly large amount by him, but what I have is hypnotising. One of my favorite things by him is 'Piano Phase', because of the fantastic range of blends that comes out of something so relatively simple.
Also the fact that stuff like 'Bleed Out' seems to have had political as well as musical significance is just so clever. I should be performing 'Clapping Music' with a friend in a concert in a couple of months....Anyone else like this guy?

My first exposure to him came in the album Different Trains which also had Pat Metheny on it. There were a few pieces titled Electric Counterpoint which I really enjoyed. The only other album I have is Music for 18 Musicians, which is quite beautiful as well.

I was fortunate enought to hear "Sextet" performed live at Sejii Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood years ago. Just thinking about it now makes my hair stand on end. John Adam's work was released a number of years ago as "Earbox", pretty much everything he'd done up to that point in one place. That's what they need to have for Steve's work. They could call it "Beatbox" or "Phasebox" or something (stares off dreamily). Oh, cool thread mate
