360 Game Pricedrops already (Amped 3)

Amped 3 is showing up for 39.99 at ebgames. Could this be the first of launch title price drops? I hope so.

Top Spin 2 shows up for 39.99 too.

Some of the newer 2K sports titles are SRP at $40, much like last years competitive $20 price tag on release day.

I'm all for it.

Amped 3 is a great game. Think of it not as SSX but as a tricks-and-minigames only snowboarding game. There is absolutely no racing. It is loads more fun than American Wasteland, even without online. Also almost bug-free.

I have no problem with this. I was hoping the prices would start lowering soon. I noticed that Kameo pre-played at gamestop.com also dropped from $45 to $40.

Top Spin 2 for only $40 is now a complete no-brainer!

Yeah, Dynasty Warriors 5 is $40 only NEW.

Amped 3 is fun....I wouldn't buy it though, glad I rented it. Maybe when the price drops again. The cutscenes were great though.

I bought this a few days ago and have been having a blast! I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying a snowboarding game. The cut-scenes and movies are hillarious. The free-roaming over the entire mountain is just breathtaking. This may just be one of the most underrated launch titles.

One of the things that I miss most about the Nintendo 64 were those free-roaming titles like WaveRace and PilotWing. Nice to see that there are some titles for the 360 (like Amped 3) and more on the way like ESIV:O and TD:U.

Waverace wasn't really freeroam, but is one of my favorite games still. Zelda:TooT, imho, got it right - it was open enough to feel massive, but linear enough to keep things moving.

That said, it's good to see they're lowering a few prices, I'm still waiting on Condemned to come down. Can't f'n wait for oblivion, Hopefully it'll be out while the BestBuyBuzz 10% coupon is still active.

I should've been more specific... WaveRace64's Dolphin lagoon was free roaming. Although that was designed specifically to get acquainted with the controls, we ended up playing that 95% of the time.

I found Amped 3 for $39.99 at Wal Mart today. Looks like a universal pricedrop.

edit Bestbuy.com also lists as $39.99.

Great news. I've yet to purchase a $60 dollar game and I never will either. Apparently other people are feeling the same way. I've been buying used for the 360 so far so now I'll probably buy a few new games again.
