Question about the Porco Rosso dvd?

i have heard that for the original french dub of the film, Jean Reno provided the voice of the main character, and the director supposingly has said that this is his prefered dub. i was wondering if the french dub on the new dvd is the one with reno, or if it was rerecorded.
