Will & Grace: Series Finale in May
Just as the title says, a popular Canadian e-tailer C&L (www.thecnl.com) is listing "Will And Grace Series Finale" on DVD to be released May 23 06. I searched Amazon.ca and .com and there's nothing yet listed by them. It's listed as being released by Maple Pictures which is the newer Canadian distribution name for Lionsgate Entertainment.
Very typical...considering NBC did the same with Friends.

[And to a different extent, Paramount released the final season of Fraiser onto DVD shortly after it's run ended, despite the other seasons (besides one), not being released yet.]

DVD Talk Limited Edition
From DavisDVD:
I'll pick this up (unless the finale sucks, which is a definite possibility) since at the rate they're releasing these, season 8 won't be out for a few years...
Rob
Marking the end of the popular NBC sitcom's eight-year run, Will & Grace: The Series Finale lands onto DVD on May 23rd - a mere five days after the episode's network airing. Released through Lionsgate Home Entertainment, the disc will feature the 45-minute episode along with extras (subject to change) including exclusive cast interviews and themed featurettes, an outtake reel, the original pilot episode and audition reels. Retail will be $9.98. Look for the complete fifth season of the series to be released later this year.

forgive my naivete, but.....
why would something broadcast in widescreen two weeks ago be released in fullscreen?
(which, sadly, it certainly is...)
...on a dvd with an anamorphic menu no less?
and have the previous seasons sold poorly enough to put the remaining seasons release at risk?

They do this with Law & Order as well...and I'm sure many, many others.

Interesting. The UK version had no featurettes nor bloopers. Nice to know they "bothered" to put them on here. Can't believe how fucked this show has been on DVD. Barely any extras, syndicated episodes, full screen instead of widescreen...etc etc.
