SNL 03/04/06 - (H) Natalie Portman (M) Fall Out Boy

With 'V for Vendetta' hitting the theaters soon, Natalie Portman is hosting this week with Fall Out Boy performing as the musical guest.

I'm to pull a quote from to quote from one of the band's singles as a theme for tomorrow night:

Down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Here's to hoping we can break the CGoM's tie with a !

2 things...

1) The schedule for the rest of the season: March: 4th, 11th; April: 8th, 15th; May: 6th, 13th, and 20th. That means there are only 19 episodes this season.

2) The return of Saturday Night's Main Event to NBC on March 18th for a special 2-hour event!

WWE RETURNS TO NBC WITH 'SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT' TWO-HOUR SPECIAL ON MARCH 18, 8-10 P.M. ET/PT
Published: February 22, 2006

John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle and Mr. McMahon Forge New History on Upcoming Primetime Debut

NEW YORK -- February 22, 2006 -- After a 13-year hiatus, World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) hit sensation "Saturday Night's Main Event" returns to NBC on Sat., March 18 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT). This two-hour special presentation of the raucous extravaganza that sparked a revolution in American pop culture and made international stars out of Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Jesse "The Body" Ventura, will herald the NBC primetime debut of WWE's newest crop of superstars. The show will feature "Monday Night RAW" grapplers WWE Champion John Cena, 10-time world champion Triple H, and Women's Champion Trish Stratus, along with Shawn Michaels, Edge, Diva and Playboy Cover Girl Candice MichelleTM, Shane McMahonTM and the indomitable WWE Chairman, Mr. McMahon, among others.

Stepping into the ring from Friday Night SmackDown, will be World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Randy OrtonTM, and Rey Mysterio, making this event a showcase for the best of the best in the WWE.

The NBC event is also a pivotal stop on the road to WrestleMania 22 on April 2 (WWE's biggest event, available only pay-per-view). Featuring a new generation of superstars, "Saturday Night's Main Event" will provide thrilling storylines, shocking betrayals and larger-than-life characters battling for championship glory.

"The original Saturday Night Main Event was a pop culture phenomenon with a rich history of big moments," said Vince McMahon. "We promise to make the new Main Event in prime time on NBC even bigger and better."

. . .the fuck?! They've been off for a month, due to the Olympics, and now they're gonna do two shows and then take another three weeks off? I don't get it. Has it always been this sporadic?

Man SNL is really pushing the Indie/Alternative rock this season.

Arctic Monkeys haven't even completed their first major US tour and they are already booked to play SNL. I'm sure most viewers 30 or older probably have not heard of most musical guests this season.

SNL usually has a 2 or 3 shows then a week off schedule, but taking 3 weeks off during a non-Holiday time in the season is pretty unusual.

Is it still shaved for the movie, or did she grow it back with lots of Multi-colors? Seems I think I saw a pic of her with many colors in her hair recently.

I'm over 30 and I listen to Arctic Monkeys and Fall Out Boy, but I think I am the exception. This year seems to have had a lot of newer bands, I like it, but I have heard a lot of others that have complained. I wonder, since SNL isn't as popular as it once was, if they are having issues getting big name acts on a regular basis.

I liked the Star Wars Q&A monologue. I even learned something from it.
