I sure hope this show is better than last nights. Last week I was worried about the girls being better than the guys... not so much anymore.
I'll pop back in and vote after the show is over... but I think that it's time for Kevin and Bucky to go home.
Edit to add: I voted for Kevin and Dave... I'll let Sway stick around for another week.

I'm going with Bucky and Sway to go tonight unless someone has a complete meltdown or something. Although Kevin Corvais should have gone last week and I'm predicting, SHOULD go home this week, I think he's being kept afloat by little girls and their mothers, as is Will and David.

Taylor sang "Easy like Sunday Morning" Lionel Ritchie (can't remember if it was with the Commodores).
I've noticed that Paula shows off more cleavage when the guys are singing, and pretty much covers up during the girls shows.

yep, I noticed that too.
As for Gideon, I thought he was way worse than the judges. maybe it has to do with "Change is Gonna Come" being one of my favorite songs. I hated it.

I can't believe Randy and Paula thought Kevin's performance was great...Simon was right on that one. If I heard him on the radio I would shut it off.
Just so y'all know, Carrie Underwood is going to perform "Jesus Take the Wheel" on Thursday's show! Woo.

Taylor - he interjects these little "yay's" in his singing and feels a little too forced. His performance was okay, but not too memorable.
Elliott - he's the real deal, he's got a great soothing tone to his voice, and just eats up Stevie Wonder songs. Hope he can adjust to other styles as well in future performances.
Ace - took a chance, but I don't think he was up to the challenge of the wide range of the song.
Gedeon - I thought it was a boring choice for a song.
Kevin - had some moments of fun, but still very awkward to watch, but do anything to hurt his standing with his fanbase.
Sway - boring.
Will - I thought he did well, but, yes, a bit safe. I was surprised by his performance, didn't think he had that kind of vocal control and tone in him. That being said, not much in terms of star quality.
Bucky - laid back southern rock, decent performance, but nothing special.
David - For Sinatra Idol, he'd be pretty good, but he's just not cut out for this competition.
Chris - really really good, committed performance, brought the passion and stayed in a nice powerful zone for the entire song.
----------
Really good:
Elliott
Chris
Okay:
Ace
Will

Chris = best guy ever on AI....he needs to get a record out now so I can buy it. FINALLY a real rocker who isn't just a pussy in disguise...(bo, constantine). Chris's voice is so alt..I love it. I also LOVE that he sang a more recent song, an alt song that isn't a HUGE staple...like something by Pearl Jam, NIN, STP, Nirvana, etc...singing Hemmorage was PERFECT. I have liked that song since the first time I heard it, and I was pretty excited when he said he was gonna sing it!
Ace = hot hot hot...but overall he kinda made me "meh" tonight..
Elliot...I can't look at him when he sings.
David is really cute...but he can't do anything else besides croon, and that doesn't bode well for the future...

I voted for Sway and David to be gone. Although I would rather see it be Bucky and David, but i think Bucky will stick around for another week or so.
On the upside...Damn, my boy Chris was smokin' tonight. That was just awesome. I see him being there on the final show. Great job.

Chris > all other guys tonight
I'm usually not a fan of Sway but I honestly thought he really did sound like Stevie Wonder at times during that song tonight. The pitch in his voice mimicked Stevie very closely I thought.

Chris laid down the gauntlet tonight. I think the top three guys are Chris, Taylor and Ace. Gideon is fantastic, but he's such an asshole that people won't vote for him over the others as the competition goes on.
Kevin somehow survives another week. But he won't make the top 12. David, Bucky and Kevin have no chance at all.
