I wasn't sure. I just noticed that EpGuides.com only lists this week and next week. I didn't know if it was because they didn't know the titles or if it was time for the hiatus.

11 episodes sounds like what I have heard before and would fill all the weeks between now and the launch of Thief.

Did I miss something? Was there any mention of Claudette at all?

Kavanaugh is a real idiot if he thinks he can dance with Mitchell and get away clean.

I'm beginning to think that nobody is going to survive the end of this show.

Yes. Dutch mentioned she was getting better in his initial conversation with Kavanaugh in the bathroom.

Yeah, in the bathroom scene. Dutch-boy said she was recovering.

Holy shit, though. What a fucking ending. Lem has got a world pain coming, and more and more reason to roll on Vic. I hope his loyalty holds out - I'd hate to see Vic get taken down by his own guy.

OK, thanks. I went downstairs to grab some dinner during the first commercial, and missed the very beginning of their conversation.

Did you see that look Lem had on his face when Vic said that they'd found Kavanaugh's weak spot? I think he might have been close to making the decision to roll right there.

I agree. Lem's weak spot is children and now distrout psycho women.

I think it's too late for Lem to roll on Vic now. Vic is apparently going to be his best chance. Kavanaugh has chosen to deal with this second option (Mitchell) and looked to be in no mood to deal with Lem based on his actions.

Anyone else notice that Kavanaugh's wife was Gina Torress of Firefly and Serenity fame?
If Forrest doesn't get an emmy nod, there is no god at all.

Lem should have let Kavanaugh eat that grenade. Mackey or Shane sure as hell would have.

I think Shane would have let him eat it, but Vic would have done what Lem did. I say that because I think Vic has this sense of inner confidence that makes him believe that he will beat Kavanaugh when all is said and done. I think Vic is also smart enough to know that letting Kavanaugh die on his watch would hurt him in the end, particularly when it came to keeping his job, while saving Kavanaugh gives him one more thing to hold over his head.

As much as I like Vic, I sort of want to also see him pay for the wrong things he's done in the past. And there have been many of them. Maybe not life in prison...but I at least want to see him have to answer to some serious questions.

Kavanaugh may come off kind of creepy or even sleazy, but he is a good guy/cop when it's all said and done.

I'm not sure about this ep. It was pretty good, but it seems to be losing some of the reality that I have come to enjoy.
I think Kavanaugh is about as looney as his wife. He has gone off the deep end. Shoving Dutch around, and making out with his ex, after he said she was going to be charged seem a bit on the illegal side. Dutch boy won't say anything though since he's dropping the money train to him. And why is he talking to Dutch about how much money Vic gave his wife? Putting Lem in "general population"? How can he get away with that?
On the other hand, I am waiting for Vic and the strike team to get out of this one, by any means necessary, because I am starting to hate Kavanaugh.

BTW, was it me, or did Forest Whitaker look different tonight? Thinner, or less facial hair or something looked different tonight.

I'm not so sure about Kavanaugh any more. What he is doing with his ex crosses a line. He isn't the man who needs to judge whether or not she is sane and needs to spend time in a mental ward instead of in prison/jail for what she did. He took pains in that scene to be a good cop, but his own interests undermined his efforts and sent him into the grey or even into the black.

Similarly, he has now made a deal with the devil in the form of Mitchell and has done the morally wrong thing in his quest to take down Vic. The ends do not justify the means or else we're right back to Vic being a "good guy", at least once you get past his money train era behavior.

(comment removed, it looks like I was mistaken, see below)

What was the deal that Mitchell wanted, or did they not say?

That was in the first half of the episode, not the end.

I liked it, though I still think Whitaker is over the top with his performance in parts. If Anderson couldn't get a nomination last year then there's no way Whitaker should get one.

what i'm wondering now is will kavanaugh's weak spot, being his crazy ex-wife, make any difference in the end?

also wondering what good ol' antwon will tell kavanaugh.
