Best "last breath" scene in a film? (spoilers)
I am highly impacted when a character is seen taking their "last breath". That last shot of them exhaling is so wrought with emotion and has a tremendous punch, especially when you actually hear it.
(high spoiler alert)
I recently saw "Ginger Snaps" . And thought the last scene of Bridgette laying her head on Ginger's torso as she was panting up and down, slowly dying, and then you hear the "last breath" as the motion stops. I just thought that was so emotional.
My favorite and an utterly devastating scene was in "Leaving Las Vegas" . Hearing that last breath uttered by Nic Cage was so intense and emotionally draining. I loved the way it was shot by Figgis and it is that scene alone that I think won him the Oscar.
So what are some other films that include a character taking their "last breath" of life?

The first one that comes to mind for me, and I guess thereby making it memorable, is Dyson's last moment in T2.

I also thought Brad Pitt's "death" scene in Interview With The Vampire was good. Those last few breaths he takes when his human body is dying, then a pause, and he takes his first deep breath as a vampire. Good scene.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's really necessary to spoiler tag a movie that's old enough for most everyone to have already seen.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head, aside of the ones listed, is Ray Liotta's in NARC. Alot of the story gets wrapped up in that one moment. It's an awsome and very intense scene altogether.

The first thing that popped into my head when I read the thread title was how pissed off I got during Trinity's death scene in Matrix Revolutions. I mean, Trinity took like what, 500 last breaths? That scene should stand as how NOT to do a death scene.
