Just wondering before I give it away or try to get a couple bucks for it.

It looks like everything carried over feature-wise, but I want to make sure.

Is it even anamorphic?

Nah. The only reason I got the SE was because it was $7.49.

You can get rid of it.

I'm sure they'll release this on HD, so it wouldn't matter what version you kept

It matters if I don't have an HDTV.

With very few exceptions, once you have an SE or CE, there's not really much point in keeping the previous release.

According to DVDCompare.net the SE carried over all of the previous features.

OK, next question:

Is it worth having the SUPERBIT if I already have the SE?

I know the SE doesn't have the DTS, but how different is the picture? Will the difference matter when I only have a regular 36" TV?

Or is it best to have both?

The superbit does have the best picture of the three. It's certainly not night and day, and you can definitely live without it if you have the SE. Considering you could probably find it at Best Buy for only 9.99, it's really up to you.

I picked up the SUPERBIT at Wal-Mart for $4.88, just in case, but have not opened it yet.

I thought about getting the Superbit version (and I do own the SE) but Wal Mart didn't have ANY Superbit releases in the $4.88 stand... Bastards

I could just switch my disk 1 out and put in the SUPERBIT disk. That would be the ultimate version.

No commentaries on the Superbit.

Yep, I only have the original release so far and it is indeed anamorphic. Just watched it the other day upconverted on a HDTV and it didn't look as bad as I thought it would, it looked pretty good. I'm sure the Superbit looks better, and I can probably get it for cheap now, but at this point I might as well save 5 bucks and wait for Blu-ray (hopefully they don't screw it up)
