I heard on the radio that the actor who plays the new James Bond got his 2 front teeth knocked out in the 1st scenes being filmed.

This happened a couple of days ago: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds29311.html

It was one of the first fight scenes actually, and it wasn't even a big one, just a scuffle between him and a couple of henchmen.

I am just getting into all the Bond flicks now, but I just can't see me accepting Craig as the new Bond. I really think that he will only be there for one film, regardless of the contract he signed.

Sounds like the perfect time to recast the lead.

I don't necessarily find the news funny but I do see it as a sign. No matter what happens with the rest of the shoot or how good/or bad the film ends up looking I will pass on it.

They need to fill a truck with cash and drive it to Pierce Brosnan's house.....NOW!

After seeing his performances in Layer Cake and Munich, I'm definitely okay with Craig as 007.

I didn't think Moore or Brosnan could put up much of a fight in reality, but news of this, damn, guess they're really going to have some realistic fights in here.

On a Daniel Craig-related note...
http://www.craignotbond.com/

It's an entire site dedicated to protesting Sony's casting choice.

I've seen Craig in Munich and Layer Cake, among other things, and just don't see him fitting the Bond character at all.

Like the choices of other films he should star in.

Still silly though to dis the guy without seeing the film.

Give the guy a break.
Think of the BOURNE spy movies, they are excellent spy movies.
Buy the star isn't some hot looking, sexy guy either.
Maybe that's what the Bond producers are going for.

I agree with wm lopez (!)

But then again, if there was no bashing of movies we hadn't seen, the Internet would cease to exist.

People magazine would disagree with you(as well as their readers) since Matt Damon was chosen one of their Top 50 Sexiest Alive issue, numerous times.

Actually, it happened a month ago, but there was no stoppage of filming. It's only hit the press now and since the beginning of the week, they're in the Bahamas shooting.

If casting Daniel Craig means they are getting closer to the books, which are grittier than the movies, I'm all for it.

^ but was it the first scene of the first Bond movie he was in? That's why it is funny, not because he got hurt.

I guarantee Craig makes the list this year.
