I thought it was kind of annoying and uneventful considering that they had a decent guest star in Selleck. And I could give two shits if they give us a peek into Paul's private life - keep him in the background where he belongs.

Yeah, I dozed off about halfway through.

It looks like next week will have more Denny in it though so hopefully it will improve.

I actually thought Paul's story with his daughter was pretty good. I almost shed a tear when Paul came back to his daughter at the end.

I like the "I've hardly seen you this episode" comment a few weeks ago, but was bothered by the "I'm tired of my Alzheimer's being used as a plot device" line from this episode. I think two random comments about the show being a show within a few episodes is too many.

Otherwise I thought it was a decent episode. Maybe I wasn't paying as much attention as usual, but even the political stuff didn't seem as much like DEK putting the point in his hand, making a fist and then beating everyone to death with it.

No shit. It was the first episode in which I didn't laugh a single time.

Maybe they want an episode to submit to the drama Emmy category and one to submit to the comedy?

You didn't laugh at how Schmidt and Magnus shut up the fiancee's laughing fits? Good stuff.

I'm glad they gave Rene Auberjenous something to do.

Tom Selleck was pretty good.

Selleck's goatee was bothering me. He had the "Magnum" 'stache in full effect, but the bottom half was close to being stubble..

The best part was the look on Schmidt face the first time it happened without Selleck around and she realized what was happening. Trent Lott!
