Great news for western fans! The Big Valley Season 1 is scheduled for release on May 16. Amazon's preorder price is $27.99...a steal for 30 one-hour episodes. Season One (IMHO) was by far the best season...a lot of classic shows and many featuring a very effective Lee Majors as (literally) bastard son Heath. Later seasons became more formulaic and the cast "cleaned up" and resembled more Hollywood western characters. But this season is a keeper!

Hope all western fans support these classic western sets as maybe this will encourage other studios to follow suit...still waiting on Rawhide, Bonanza, Gunsmoke & Rifleman (complete seasons rather than selected episodes), Laredo, Wild Wild West, Daniel Boone, High Chapparal, Maverick, and many other series that were hits (most ran three or more seasons...some longer).
