Post your favorite single shot
Like the title says, post your favorite single frame from any movie. Post something that if you could blow it up big enough you would frame it as art. Post something that has special meaning for you or that just makes you laugh, cry, etc. (Also try to list which movie the screencap is from, so this doesn't turn into a "what movie is that from?" thread)
Alien3
Heat
Master & Commander
The Shawshank Redemption

It differs from program to program. I am using InterVideo WinDVD 4 and in that there is a camera icon that will grab the screen I want. It saves it as a bmp file and in Photoshop I bump the size down to about 85% and save then it as a jpg.

Thanks a lot. It seems I have that same type of button in the program that I'm using, DVD X Player. Here are the first two frames that I thought of as soon as I saw this topic:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Lost In Translation

I have lots of favorite single shots, but this is the first that came to mind:
EDIT: More of my favorites. I can probably pick out a cool still from just about every movie, but these are the ones that stood out at first glance thru my collection.

It's a capture I found online. I'd rather it be from a bit earlier in the scene, when the two are spread apart on the bed, but that's the shot I would choose.
Edit: I found a small image of the shot I'm talking about. It's cropped, but you get the idea.

It is free and a simple "Snapshot" command sends a web-ready picture to your My Pictures folder.

Since grabbing screen captures is one of my favorite parts of writing reviews, here are a few of my favorites from the past few years:
Ikiru
Schindler's List
Freaks and Geeks
The Last Samurai
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Best of Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog
Hellboy
The Iron Giant
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind:
Spaceballs
Sin City
Creature Comforts
Office Space
Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room
Sorry for the overkill.

I love these threads where "Favorite Single" (a phrase that twice implies singularity) turns into "here's my 300 favorite single" shots. Hell, even the OP violated his own rules.
It'd be fun to see what everyone would choose as their single favorite shot (because 1) the thread would be far more manageable, and 2) the shot would be far more meaningful). It's not nearly as fun to see a huge list of shots by each poster.
Rant over. Proceed.

That being said, I agree that 10 or more grabs is a bit much. Around 3-4 is more realistic, but it at least allows some variety for the individual poster.
