Filmmovement deal

I got 50% off my www.filmmovement.com (remove the access spaces) subscription renewal using the code "valentine". Code expires today. The code was issued for 50% off orders from their catalog of films but it works for subscriptions and renewals as well!

I tried to fix the typo in the link and it all went to hell! I have no idea why -
service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bfmid=37925249&siteid=38475598&bfpage=text
keeps appearing when I correct www.filmmovment.com by adding the e to filmmovement

I'm about 9 months into my first subscription, and I just decided to renew (thanks to the coville's post!)

The DVDs are high quality, with great audio and video. They come in clear plastic keepcases with the two-sided paper covers inside. The DVDs are mostly foreign movies (with a U.S. documentary or two mixed in): some are keepers and others I've resold (and made my money back!) or given to friends, but they've all been worth watching. The DVDs have very few movie-related bonus features, but each includes an unrelated short film (again, some are better than others.)

Also, one month I didn't get my movie on time, so I emailed FilmMovement and got a reply in less than a day: they apologized and rushed out a second copy of that month's DVD. When the first one arrived in the mail the next day (figures...) I let them know and they told me to keep both DVDs and pass one on to a friend. Talk about great customer service.

Bottom line: If you enjoy foreign, arthouse-type movies, this is definitely worth the $99.50 (that's about $8.30 a DVD). I wouldn't have renewed for the full price, but at half-price, I'm in.

And thanks again to the OP for this deal.

Does the %50 off work on first buying a subscription or only renewing?

I don't know, but you should give it a try. They have a deal for new subscriptions -- it's $159.20 for a year. If you can get the "valentine" code to take 50% off that, that would be a tremendous deal (about $6.63 a DVD!)

Hope it works for you.

My pleasure. I'm just glad to see more interest in filmmovement this year compared to last year when I posted a similar deal.

Renew50

For those that missed the VALENTINE deal you can enter RENEW50 and get the same deal. This works for current members or new members.

Thanks for the code, sumdeus.

I had been considering joining for about a year now. The last 50% off deal almost sold me, but this 50% off code, combined with their discount to new members convinced me. $79.60 ($6.60 per disc) is a nice deal.

I just checked the e-mail they sent me and there was no mention of an expiration date. Hopefully it will be a permanent discount because $79.60/year is well worth it. I originally paid about $160 for an annual subscription + 1 bonus movie from their archive. $160 is a little high, but under $100/year is a good deal and $79.60/year is a must for anyone who likes thought provoking films.

I JUST paid for this two weeks ago...at $160. Dammit. Oh well, it's still a great value at that price. If you joined, be sure to order Anytown, USA from their catalog - it's excellent!

You try VALENTINE or RENEW50? I was going to signup tonight, is RENEW50 dead?

Whoops, I musta not noticed the RENEW50 code. I'm not really renewing, but if it works for newcomers, then that's fine with me. Thanks for the codes!

I signed up and added Anytown, USA and The Party's Over (I'm a fan of political documentaries). I can't believe I spent 100 bucks on blind buys.

I saw Anytown at its debut last year at the Long Island Film Festival - easily the best film at the show, and a truly excellent documentary.
