Action movies that don't use 'slo-mo'?

I know it is a very effective tool. It works in most situations, but sometimes I think "just so cliched".

So can you think of any action movie ever that doesn't use 'slo-mo' as a tool to make the action more dramatic?

I don't think there is one...

Most martial arts films in HK did not use slo-mo. In fact, they actually cranked the camera to make the movements faster.

2nd on Ronin. Thought of it since Frankenheimer specifically talks about this issue in the commentary.

But every time they crank it, chances are the knockdown or the body-throw will be in slo-mo. Plus just about every breathtaking stunt Jackie does is usually in slo-mo to prove to everyone that it's him.

Have to watch it again, but I think the recent Punisher doesn't have slo-mo in it.

Are you joking?

Heat has at least two slo-mo shots during the gunfight downtown, one with DeNiro and one with Pacino.

T2 has Arnold doing the motorcycle jump.

Kill Bill has more than I can count.

Die Hard has McClane jumping off the roof and Gruber falling at the end.

There are many more than I listed; these are just the ones off the top of my head.

I'm pretty sure the Matrix has several parts that feature Slow-Motion.

A Sam Peckinpah film.

Just Kidding.

I actually like Slo-Mo. Only if it's used well. Obviously Peckinpah was the master of it...Some great action films of the 70's used it really well.

I don't remember any slow-mo in Spartan. I could be wrong though.

So when Arnie starts slowly coming up that chain with the big dramatic music and then shoots the T-1000 and causes him to splat, that doesn't count?

maybe I'm wrong but I don't remember any of the James Bond films relying on slo-mo.

Neither Bourne movie had slo-mo.

James Bond: only slo-mo I can think of off the top of my head is the "loop-di-loop" jump in Live and Let Die. It's also one of the few times a slide-whistle was used to "enhance" a cool stunt.
