"Quintessence Of Dust"
Dr. Clemente (John Leguizamo) and his girlfriend Jodie seem to be living the highlife together, when they are suddenly interrupted by Jodie's husband Bobby (Shea Whigham). When Jodie threatens divorce, Bobby takes matters into his own hands. Abby (Maura Tierney) and Dr. Kovac (Goran Visnjic) anxiously await the test results determining the health of their unborn baby. Meanwhile, when Dr. Pratt is put on the auction block for a bachelor charity event, everyone is surprised when a man wins the bid. Laura Innes, Parminder Nagra, Linda Cardellini, Shane West and Scott Grimes also star.

Also hope this isn't the last we see of Clemente. Oh, and I would not be doing my heterosexual male duty if I didn't point out that Callie was looking kinda good with her lower back tatt peeking out [insert "Wedding Crashers" joke here].

Doesn't anyone involved with ER watch CSI?
There should be tons of forensic evidence in the room that would show Clemente is not the shooter.
On him alone...no GSR residue on his hands, no powder burns on his wound indicating a close contact shot.
The actual was shooter was having a drink leaving his finger prints on the glass, plus on the door knob and probably all over the room.
It should take all of about five seconds to clear him.

I liked the snappiness of the dialogue this episode, plus it appears to be E.R.'s retort to Grey's Anatomy by making the surgical head resident (Albright) to be a big bitch, but it was cute in how Morris and Albright loved to hate on each other.
Clemente is in some deep doo-doo with the shooting of Jodie. (Plus, for all we know, Clemente could have been hallucinating about Jodie's husband Bobby being in there with them at the apartment since Clemente was on drug (evidenced by their snack run in the convenience store).
Ray finds a way to re-connect with music, if just for a day, through meeting a blues man from the time when records were in fashion.
Abby finds out that her amnio came back clean, so she's much happier, though Morris has figured out that she's preggers. Luka brought the news to Sam, a humane thing to do in an E.R. so small.
Neela confirms that Gallant galloped back to Iraq. Dubenko continues his surgical tutlege of Neela in the OR, much to the consternation of Albright.
Pratt's charity streak almost bites him in the rear when a guy places a winning bid on him for charity date, but it was a bidding proxy/friend who was helping out a female friend who shows up for the date.
Overall, a pretty fast-moving episode (directed by Joanna Kerns, Momma Seaver from Growing Pains).
The Carter cameo was much ado about nothing.

I thought it was good. I was thinking maybe Clemente was hallucinating about the husband as well.
I figured the shot of Carter in the helicopter would be all we see of him.

I hope he is not gone either. And I must say Callie is so damn sexy, and she can do the hottest tv sex scenes EVER, better than alot of porn stars that are actually having sex, too bad we were just teased with this episode.

commercial: "The return of Carter"
me: "bullshit. a 5 second non speaking role in the last 5 seconds of the episode is not a return"
I was hoping psycho husband would kill them both
I take it that actress is type cast into being an abused significant other

His name (Lucien) was screamed by Clemente like 8 times while Clemente barged into the OR when they were operating on his coked up, bullet-riddled better half.

In addition to many of the ER staff. Guess they wanted us to remember it...

I think the angle they'll take with Clemente and the murder is that he won't be able to prove he didn't do it due to "hidden" evidence, since the husband is a cop.

Great episode! I love when the shows have both laughs and drama.. Last weeks was just the drama..
I sure hope Clemente don't go. I would really like him to become a regular. Great acting and he's funny as heck.
As to the "since Clemente was on drug (evidenced by their snack run in the convenience store)." Plus the SHOWED Clemente sniffing the coke off his girl's back..
I fear he might be getting setup for the shooting.. The husband being a cop and weren't the two detectives at the end of the ep the same ones that came to him a couple episodes prior on the husbands order?

I think it is a stretch for 2 detectives in Chicago to cover up and frame someone else for a Jersey cop they do not even know. Going and jacking with a fellow cop's wife's boyfriend is one thing, but framing him and letting the real shooter go is something else.

This is true and while I don't think it would be THAT unbelievable (coulda went to the academy with them, coulda lived in Chicago, etc) I doubt they will go that route on ER.
