INVASION cancelled?

Has Invasion been pulled?

Before it even has a change to screen here in Australia (and ironically, the network is promoting the heck out of it), ABC’s “Invasion” has been given a pink slip, according to HNR.

An inside source has told the site that the Shaun Cassidy-created series will be replaced on Wednesday nights by “the criminal procedure series, The Evidence. While the network has not officially cancelled its Wednesday night companion to Lost, sources tell us that it's unlikely Invasion will return for a second season; a consequence of less than remarkable ratings.”

, if true.

Maybe if they'd get the story moving a little faster. I got bored with it after a few weeks.

as per Zap2it.com:

ABC's final midseason entry is "The Evidence," a crime procedural from "ER" executive producer John Wells that debuts at 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 ("Invasion" will go on hiatus and return in April to finish its season). The show follows two San Francisco detectives (Orlando Jones and Rob Estes) who reconstruct crimes based on the evidence collected at the scene.
no mention of a cancellation yet anyways.

I continue to wonder even if it does survive, how they hell they can progress the story line w/ those characters and keep the show going.

Yeah, everyone knows that only applies to Lost.

I gave up. it was too slow and became a soap opera centered around alien invasion/possesion.

I thought it was going to be more creepy, aliens lurking around town, sorta War of the Worlds.

Unlike Lost, I just did not find any of the characters to be very interesting. Lost made up for its slow story-telling by at least having compelling characters I wnated to learn about their backstory.

Wow. This and Surface are not likely to be back.
Is this the last of the Sci Fi Lost clones?

The last 4 episodes or so of Invasion have been quite good. Though not long ago, the execs at ABC expressed good faith in Invasion.

The Evidence, I have a gut feeling, won't be around very long.

I've enjoyed Invasion from the start, and hope to see it stick around. I won't be heartbroken if it's cancelled like I have been with other shows, but I certainly would be happy if it stayed on.

how long did it take them to get from the hospital back to the house back to the hospital back to the house.

I'd miss an episode and it seemed like only a couple of hours had happened between episodes. slooooow plot development. now it getting better...the sheriff hasn't been completely taken by the aliens, the doctor understands her new powers.

Yeah, the show has really picked up the pace lately. I'm not sure if it was intentional from the beginning, or if they were sniffing cancellation and decided to speed up the plotlines instead of the snail's pace they were going at before. It can't be doing that badly in the post-Lost spot, can it?

I was thinking the same thing...how far can it go? Almost seems like a second season would be rather hollow.

But Like has been said, the last 4 episodes have been fast paced and action packed...if it started off this way, ratings would not be a problem.
