Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has today officially announced Breakfast on Pluto which stars the likes of Liam Neeson, Stephen Rea, Brendan Gleeson and Cillian Murphy. Director Neil Jordan weaves a wonderfully surreal and magical tale to bring us this funny, moving and poignant rites of passage account of a young man enduring the trials and tribulations he faces with a smile and his unwavering faith in the inherent goodness in us all. The disc will be available to own from the 18th April, and priced at around $24.96. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track. Extra material will include an audio commentary with Director Neil Jordan and Cillian Murphy, a Behind the Scenes of “Breakfast on Pluto” featurette, and a conversation with the Director Neil Jordan and Entertainment Weekly’s Lisa Schwarzbaum. It is fantastic ... great soundtrack as well. I'm disappointed that this release didn't spur WB to get The Butcher Boy out on DVD ... I've been waiting on that one for what seems like an eternity.
