Surprised they wouldn't pull a Friends finale type move and release it a week later or something like that. All you gotta do is give all the pregame stuff, the game, half time, and the after game stuff.

Although I could live without hearing that horrid "rendition" of the national anthem ever again.

Why would anyone want to re-watch that horribly ref'd game again? Almost nothing about this game was pretty.

check out www.nflshop.com and you can purchase it from there, or if you happen to be a Steelers fan then you can buy some kind of bundle with a few other things too.

They should replace the picture of Cower with the head ref. That would be perfect!

Amen to that.

I am sure it will sell big in Pittsburgh though. If it had their run leading up to the Super Bowl, I might be interested though.

I'd love to see the road the Steelers took to the Superbowl on DVD. Knocking off the 1, 2, and 3 seeds, and having to win their last 4 games just to get in. What an amazing run.

the steelers had to beat the refs in the colts game to even get to the AFC championship. youll get bad calls against you in every game, you have to find a way to win anyway. whining is for losers.

on topic, i wouldnt buy this on DVD. pretty ugly game, steelers pretty games were the 3 before.

Its a great thing for Steelers fans and hopefully it will include highlights of the games in the playoffs that were actually watchable. However, I can't imagine anyone else in the country wanting it. Worst Superbowl in recent memory.

For use as a sleeping aid? ...just kidding. While I enjoy watching both teams play, that game was one of the worst from an entertainment standpoint in recent memory. Congrats to the Steelers as they certainly deserved it.

This on the NFL network as their game of the week on 2/9 @ 9:00, it's only an hour, but it might have more game action than the dvd.

This DVD is 3 hours long, see the listing on Amazon.

Didn't the Patriots DVD from last year have the international broadcast (with Marv Albert & Boomer Esiason) on it? I think it included key bits from the pregame and post game and the whole game, sans commercials and game stopages.

By the way, the game wasn't the prettiest, but being a Steelers fan for 25 years and finally seeing my team win the big one....I have to say it was the most beautiful thing my eyes ever saw.

I think I just answered my question. The Patriots official super bowl video from last year has the following specs:

Patriots season, playoff and Super Bowl highlights
Live Super Bowl broadcast - every play of the game
Collectable insert with team record, photos
Half time Show featuring Paul McCartney
Interviews with key players and coaches
Behind-the-scenes look at the Super Bowl
Pre-game predictions and post-game analysis

The Patiots also had a DVD called "Three Games to Glory" which had every play from all playoff games. I can only wish they had this for the Steelers this year.

I'm a Bucs fan, and their DVD a few years ago had the entire game under what they called the TV broadcast.
It was heavily edited between plays and may have omitted the kickoffs but it had basically the whole game.
I would love a downconverted, 16x9 HDTV version, but it would probably have to be 2 DVDs.

Yeah yeah, it's been done before in the sports forum. Please, no more about this crap here.

Now that would have been a MVP ceremony worth watching.
