boxedtvseries is a rip off!

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM boxedtvseries.com IT'S ALL CRAP! I got the James Bond DVD set and smallville, bought are bootlegs that don't play all the way through. They are burned on very poor quaility disks. Some are bent and a few were even cracked! When I told boxedtvseries.com that the DVD's were bad they told me all sales were final! Don't make the mistake I did! Don't buy from them! That's what I get buying a bootleg.

Here's a good quote from their Store Policies:
We don't sell pretty cover art, if you want pretty cover art pay more elsewhere we are a discount site.

I'm trying to figure out why to even buy from them. The prices seemed higher than even B&M stores (Buffy complete = $228, only $199 at Best Buy)

I agree....their prices are ridiculous. Arrested Devlopment Season 2 for $51?!?

I love how their policy states that each dvd set is a special order. Of course it is. They have to invest the time to burn all the discs, lol.

Literally. From their FAQ:

We are a discount site and therefore, to save you money, you may not get the same box that Wal-Mart has. In other words, you may get different box art. Also, some Asian symbols may be on the box and DVD, since these are made in China. All sets are legal, brand new, factory made under license. All DVD's are in English, and region 0 which means they will play on any DVD player made.

Geez...for the Bonds....you could have gotten ripped off on ebay for much cheaper! For that 20 disc boxed set, seen those go for under $30!

Yeah, all of those prices are horrible! Do your bootleg shopping on ebay, it's much cheaper.

I get the feeling that OP is a competing bootlegger himself.

What would make you say that?

It does sound like he knew he was getting boots (and if so, I don't see why he expected the retailer to be anything but a ripoff).

I love this one

Smallville came with two season three's?

No it didn't. What you got is a box with a blue strip on the cd on the cover that says season three, but it is really season 4. Remember no fancy boxes just content! The other season three with the red strip on the cd is the real season three. Play them in that order, and everything is fine.

They also want $52 for ALF: Season 1 and the MSRP is $39.98!!!

We seem to have a different way of observing a situation, you and I my friend

New poster, extremely agressive post, ZERO followup on the thread and mounting proof that no sane person would ever buy there in the first place (high prices, poor packaging, the FAQ).

Must be the lawyer in me
