Lost -- "Fire + Water" -- 01.25.2006

"Fire + Water"

When Charlie's vividly surreal dreams lead him to believe Claire's baby, Aaron, is in danger, Locke suspects Charlie may be using again. Meanwhile, Sawyer encourages Hurley to act on his attraction to Libby.

Crap. It's a Charlie-centric episode. The island stuff better be good.

This one didn't look that good from the previews.

Nevertheless, I will Tivo it and watch it like a good soldier.

Is it me or does this seem like it's going to be one of the filler episodes where nothing happens?

Is it just me or does this seem to be a character developing episode like the show is supposed to be more than an action-thriller that everyone bitches about it not being?

No one's making you watch it. Rent the DVDs next fall and skip the televised broadcasts and FF through the real development that makes this show the genius it is.

I actually like Charlie and his backstory, so I'm looking forward to it.

But I do have a feeling it will be a filler episode island plot wise, but I don't mind those much as long as they don't string 3 or 4 or more in a row as that gets frustrating. Especially with most of the 2nd and 3rd flashbacks for the main characters not being as interesting as the 1st ones were.

Those tend to be the episodes where something major DOES happen.

Wow this is astonishing. Already complaining before the episode has even aired. That's a feat!

Probably will be the only new one in February. Doubt they'll show new episodes during the Winter Olympics. Ugh - I remember this sort of scheduling from ALIAS back in the day.

I like the Charlie character, but at this point in the season I don't want to see his story when there is still so much to go over on the island.

I got money on us seeing the Dharma logo on one of the undersides of the Mary statues or baggies of heroin.

Sorry, didn't mean to piss you off. I'd watch the show if it was 42 minutes of waves crashing on the beach.

Ha Ha. Charlie's brother got the crappy version of Voltron. He didn't get the cool one with the legs that fold up to form Voltron. Still cool to see a Voltron reference.

The wound on Charlies forehead that was sealed with burning gunpower sure did heal fast.

Yeah well, it happens... with nanobots flying around!

Or not heh.

Trippy episode, I'm actually really enjoying it.

The island is now a giant mind-control device using people like Walt to control people's dreams and sleep-state actions.

I am starting to think that Libby wasn't on the flight....or is part of the Dharma group......because Hurley doesn't remember her stepping on his foot, and I don't think I saw her in the montage where he was getting on the plane.
