Help Me Out With Some War Movies.
I need some suggestions with war movies. I'm looking for movies with heavy, organized, tactical combat scenes in them. Movies like Tears of the Sun (which had some really good scenes), Proof of Life (last 15 or so minutes were great), and maybe even a bit like Saving Private Ryan (in a way, it had some small group attacks).
I guess what I'm looking for is a movie with action specifically related to Navy SEAL-esque style to them. But, probably not the actual movie Navy Seals with Charlie Sheen. I'm looking more for scenes with Alpha and Bravo teams doing what they do. Maybe even a little bit glorified with a lot heavy gunfire.
Can anyone help me find any movies that might even loosely fit my descriptions?
Thanks.

Bravo Two Zero (although it turns into escape/POW survival)
We Were Soldiers
Bridge Too Far
Devil's Brigade
Band of Brothers has some great sequences throughout
Guns of Navarone/Force 10 from Navarone/Where Eagles Dare (more about commando raids though)
King Arthur/Ran/Throne of Blood (similar to Gladiator in no guns but did have tactical situations)
Hong Kong "gun play" movies - not wars but SWAT/special unit action
First Option
Option Zero
smattering of other titles but since I'm not sure this is what you are really looking for... One more recommendation in this category though, Ultimate Force (UK SAS series R2 only though )

Add the Hong Kong movie The Blood Rules (SDU action), Attack Force Z (WW2 Australian special forces movie starring a young Mel Gibson...no R1 release, however); Men of War (fun B-movie featuring a team of special forces soldiers...and Dolph Lundgren)...will add more if I think of them.
And for the love of God, avoid U.S. SEALS I and II at ALL costs. (You've been warned!)

Kelly's Heroes
.. but seriously ..
Bridge over the River Kwai
The Dirty Dozen
.. are a couple I have in mind that have sequences fitting your description. Great response by Nemein on First Option aka Who Dares Wins. I absolutely loved this movie about the SAS. Haven't seen it in years, but the DVD is on the top of the list to get .....

Not the best movie I've seen but Hunt for Eagle One http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read....=19786&___rd=1 certainly fits the bill of what you are looking for.
