MusicTalk Clip Game #1

Sixty-five seconds, twenty songs. Some easy, some not. I'll be impressed if someone gets all of them but everyone should at least know a couple.

Naming the artist isn't enough - get the song right too!

Ground rules:
- I have chosen all album tracks. No remixes, singles, B-sides, German import white labels, etc.
- All of these artists have been mentioned in threads here. No local bands. No unknowns.
- Two of these songs appear in movies by the same filmmaker.
- Most songs are from the last 15-20 years, with many from the last ten.

Play Clip Game #1.

<hr>

Guessed

David Bowie - "Queen Bitch"
... (Made a lot of best-of-2004 lists, not dissimilar to The Postal Service)
... (Band, album and song all have an animal in their name, band is a Mercury Prize nominee)
Antony and the Johnsons - "Fistful of Love"
Gang of Four - "Not Great Men"
... (Song from 1970's album picked in the MusicTalk draft)
Patti Smith - "Kimberly"
Sonic Youth - "Teen Age Riot'
Crystal Method - "Busy Child"
Portishead - "Wandering Star"
Stevie Wonder - "Superstition" "Livin' for the City" "You Haven't Done Nothin'"
Cannibal Ox - "Iron Galaxy"
Oliver Onions, "Zorro's Back"
Yazoo - "Don't Go"
Cocteau Twins - "Lorelei"
Madness - "Our House"
Orchestral Manouevres in the Dark - "Genetic Engineering"
The Doors - "Runnin' Blue"
Dead Kennedys - "Holiday in Cambodia"
Breeders - "S.O.S."

Numanoid I actually put that OMD clip in just for you. The fact that there's two one unrecognized songs from a draft album raises some questions with me.

Only 3 left to go!

(Mods, I figured this would be OK since we have "name this scene" and "request a GIF" threads in the other forums).

I think the first one is "I Don't Want to Know" by Fleetwood Mac, and I think I heard "Our House" by Madness towards the end.

Definitely heard "Kimberly" by Patti Smith.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure it's "Livin' For the City".

"Don't Go" Yaz(oo).

I'll keep that in mind next time around. My encoder deleted the original WAV file.

Is there a riff of Magic Carpet Ride in between the final song and Holiday in Combodia?

No Stone Roses, no RJD2, no Magic Carpet Ride. Updated some clues. All songs are in order of appearance.

The song after Patti Smith is definitely off of Daydream Nation. I think it's that intro to Teen Age Riot (& the whole album)...
