Mr. and Mrs. Smith DTS Audio dropout

I just watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith for the first time today, and I noticed a brief audio dropout when listening to the DTS track, the dropout occurs at 9:36 into the movie (just as the scene cuts to Brad and Angelina brushing their teeth in the bathroom). It is just for a second. The dropout does not occur on the DD5.1 track.

I replayed that scene 10 times plus took the disc out and cleaned it ... no change.

I am using a Sony DVP-NS775V DVD Player.

Anyone else experience this? Just checking before I go exchange the disc.

Thanks.

Didn't experience that, but could it be the layer change? Sometimes the layer change is not in the middle of the film if the disk has a lot of extras on it.

I did experience another brief DTS audio dropout later in the film during a blank frame between scenes. I assumed that this second dropout was a result of the layer change, not the initial dropout I described above.

Sometimes you will get this because your player/receiver can't process the DTS track fast enough. Too much info.

I had it with some previous equipment I used to use. Used to get a drop out on a couple of titles. Always used to be in the same place so thought it was the disc, but it wasn't.
