Toys R Us - Closing stores clearence 40% off accessories...

Just a head's up to those who might not have thought about it. There are about 87 Toys R Us (that are closing to make way for Babies R Us) running storewide clearance sales. Today they went to 40% off video game accessories. This includes all those nice shiny new Xbox 360 accessories.

Some of the highlights were...

360 wired controller 23.99
360 wireless control 29.99
LIVE 12mo Gold kit 41.99
360 wireless network adaptor 59.99
360 memory card 23.99
360 faceplates 11.99 (mine only had woodgrain)

The only thing I couldn't find at my local store was the Marketplace points which should be ~11.99 also.

Games went to 20% off but they only had about 1/2 of the titles in stock.

Me either. The ones here in Micigan are so far away I'd break even with the cost of gas. I coulda used some more controllers, network adapter, and faceplates . Oh well.

These stores will clear everything out, the discount will probably change every couple weeks or so. When they started it was 10-30%, then last Sunday it changed to 20-40%. Video games are 20% off right now, consoles were only 10% off (I don't know how that fits into storewide "20-40% off" or if they just hadn't gotten around to changing signs). I edited the above post will all the closing stores, again ripped from CAG.

I went to the tysons store last night. VG accessories are at 40% off, systems are 10% off and games are @ 20% off. They were out of DS systems and 360's - not too many 360 accesories left. It seems the discount will increase has it gets closer to closing (and obviously there will be less stuff). They tysons one is closing in March.

The one in Long Beach isn't closing until March either. 20% off DVDs right now too. Noticed some box sets in the store (which surprised me) of Seinfeld Season 4, Lost Season 1, etc.

I almost got the 360 HD for 40% off last night.

The clerk told me it was 40% off, but then it only rang up at 10% off.

I did a few other accessories for my future 360, and a regular xbox wireless controller.

This one is 5 minutes from my apartment. I'm gonna swing by there today and see if I can find any 360 accessories.

I just hope there's something left.

I might have to check out the one in Riverdale. All the best stores around here are in Riverdale. Now that this, and the Media Play are out of business, I have to go all the way to Salt Lake. Meh.

I have a couple around me, but 20% off games doesn't interest me. And I'm sure the selection will be absolute shit once the discount gets big enough to make it worth my while.

Is the media remote worth getting....for $18?

My Toys R Us had several earlier this week. There was a rumor that the % would increase today on their accessories, but I've been reading it's still 40% off. I wish the games would go higher. They had Dead or Alive 4 a couple of days ago. Hope it's still there if the % goes up.

Picked up an Xbox Live 12-month starter kit for $42, a 12 month renewal for $30, and Bard's Tale for the X-box. Didn't have any other games from the $10 sale.

The only 360 items they had were Live kits, a hard drive, and a component cable.

Was there anything you were looking for specifically?

The local store had dropped to 40-60% Friday. I went by last night just to see what was left, and was surprised that they had gone down more. They also seemed to get some more stuff in (or found it in the back room?) because they had more 360 faceplates, and some PSP accessories I don't remember seeing last time I was there.
