Thanks for the brilliant insight.

As for the DVD, I've never seen the show, heard it was pretty funny...the weird thing to me is the $40 price tag for 13 episodes.

Sorry, but this show was made to be thread crapped. I can't even imagine paying $40 for 13 episodes of that series.

It definitely won't be $40 if Family Guy wasn't even that much.

I might get it. Probably won't be buying it brand new however.

Please pass the TP as I crap. This show isn't worth the price that they're asking. Trying to stretch and already thin show with so few episodes for so much money = s*%*.

Mod note: Then it's probably also not worth time posting either then is it. Please refrain from doing so in the future. If opinions are asked for feel free... they weren't in this thread

I love this show (which is more than I can say for Family Guy since it came back, unfortunately) but this "13 episodes" crap they're pulling, first with FG and now with AD, is ridiculous. If they ever decide to stop trying to gouge us, and release a full season at a decent price, I'll probably buy it.

I gotta wait for a cheaper price to pick up this one.

I feel the need to support Seth McFarlane as much as possible, so I'll definitely get it eventually. Unfortunately, with Family Guy out there, this doesn't seem nearly as funny as it probably should. Of course people are going to compare it to Family Guy, but in doing so American Dad fails to compete.

I have no problem picking up these sets during release week for $20-25. Thirteen 22-minute eps comes out to over 4 hours of eps. If a standard movie is 2 hours and $15 bucks, then this comes out about right. I would like more eps on a season, but I'm not gonna kid myself by saying I'm not buying this on day one.

Also, I've bought plenty of HBO season sets that are only 13 episodes. Sure, they're usually hour long episodes, but they're also usually triple the price. Life's too short to wait on stuff. If you enjoy the show, buy them when they come out.

I'm not really that interested. I watched the first couple of episodes, when they aired, but quit watching after that.

after watching the first episode I did not like the show but later on I caught some of the later episodes and I actually started to like it. If it comes out for a decent price on initial release I might pick it up.

I thought it was a great show after the first 2 episodes or so. I missed the latter half of it so I might just pick this up.
