I don't know why you all are anticipating her return or even care that she did or did not appear. This was probably the best episode of the season, and this season has been very very subpar. Kaitlin will most likely drop it down further, her storyline looks ridiculous.

I like the relationship that is building between Ms. Cooper-Nichol and Seth's biggest fan, Dr. Roberts. The trailer scene was pretty funny.
Too bad Johnny didn't die in a gigantic tidal wave when he was feeling sorry for himself on the beach.
Even though Seth has been w/ Summer for a while, he is still considered a gigantic dork by the rest of the school. No one wants to give him any props for bagging the hottest girl in school.

This was a classic OC episode. The group dynamic was great and I'm really starting to like Taylor. Plus, it had more of the GOOD adult storyline...which was always one of the best parts of the show, how it balanced the teen stuff with the adults stories. Glad to see Sandy and Kirsten back to their old loving selves.

I like the Julie/Summer's dad relationship as well, though you know he'll wind up having some dark secret in a few episodes.
The show has been better the last few eps but with this show's history of introducing new characters, the Kaitlin story, I know she's not really new, will be a disaster.

I think The O.C. does work best when it's the gang against the world. When it's in-fighting between the couples or parentals, the show drags to a slow halt.
So I also thought this episode was a good return to season 1 form. Seth and Summer were cracking me up.

That's just what I thought. What was the point of the whole getting kicked out of school in the beginning of the season if they end up in the same place together all over again.

Amen to that! This show finally seems to be back on track again.
