Beauty and the Geek 2 -- Season Premiere -- 01/12/06
I enjoyed the first season last summer so I'll tune in tonight.
Here is the link in order to view the contestants:

Early reviews are indicating that the guys are even more geeky and that the girls are even more ditzy than the first season. Just by looking at the cast, it seems to be the case for the guys.

Even though it is definitely a guilty pleasure, I'll be checking it out again. I am actually hoping that the show doesn't keep my interest, but I am pretty sure it will I've already got enough stuff to watch without adding anything new.

I think it’s almost better than the first already. The Geeks are way more geekier (“I have several people I admire the most. The first would probably be Wolverine…” – B: “Why did you bring FIVE Rubik’s Cubes?” G: “Just in case.”) and the beauties seem hotter and dumber (B: “Al Gore? [for John Kerry]” “That’s not even geek knowledge. That’s just common daily news knowledge”).
“Just in case…” – probably my favorite line of the night.

Wow, very striking similar.

Thought it was good, though my friend didn't like the "cliffhanger"... he thought that for the first episode they should have finished it up.
On a related topic - any reason Season 1 hasn't hit DVD yet?

I didn't like the cliff hanger ending either Amanda is lucky to be rid of Chris though, I'd say he'll be one of the first to go.
I loved this show last season, and so far this season looks to be good so far.
Chris is a dick. Not only does he have geek going against him, he's also not a nice guy.
I hope he's out first. From DVR

Liking it so far, but the ending sucked. The nerds are uber-nerdy and the women and pretty hot.
Chris will obviously get the villain edit this season (like Richard did last time).
Anyone else amazed that ANY of the questions were missed in the challenge?
Quote of the night (in response to the question "What kind of screwdriver is this?")
"A handheld screwdriver?"
I love it!

I was more amazed that everyone was in awe of Chris because he knew the name of Ted Danson's character on Cheers. Come on, guys! That show was on for years and was a major hit! Chris does seem to be a major ass. I can see where his partner would say she wanted to get out of the partnership, but otherwise, I think you'll just get people mad by breaking up teams, especially when you quiz everyone about their faults in front of all the contestants before deciding on what to do.
I'm ready for our Rubix cube lesson.

If you take away the bodies, I think 3 of them are actually pretty, maybe 2 are hot and only Sarah is a real head turner.
Cher looks really good sometimes and not other times. The really tan brunette who had the misfortune to choose the power tripping, bossy nerd is hot, and the one other blonde with straight hair is on the pretty side.
It's strange that we live in a time when ALL of these girls think that are the hottest of the hot. I was just in Miami for business, went to a club in South Beach with an old friend, and practically every girl in there was better looking than the girls on this show.
And since everyone in the world wants to be on tv, even hanging out with these guys, I think Ashton could have done a whole lot better.

One of them Brittany I think is a friend to a coworker's of mine daughter. He was telling me that is actually quite smart (She is at UofI) and he was going to watch to see what she is like on the show.

You know... they could have reversed it with popular, muscular guys and had geeky women on to change it up... maybe season 3? Or they'll coed it out with geeks and popular people on both sides of the gender fence.

That one guy really was on a power trip. Pretty stupid.
That one blonde with fantastic yabos is very hot. The rest range from average to cute.
The test was pretty funny, although I have to admit, I wouldn't have known some of those pop culture ones - specifically, the music-related ones like Gwen Stefani and who is married to Britney.
The blind solving of the Rubik's Cube was very impressive.

I wouldn't doubt it. That's the major leagues - like what you'd see in a club in L.A., N.Y. or Vegas. Don't know where these chicks are from, so maybe in their towns, they would be considered hot.

The only stunner in the group is Sarah IMHO. However, I'm fond of Thais and I think she and Tyson make a cute couple and they are my favorites right now.
As everybody already stated, Chris made himself look like a jackass and plus "he's cut and doesn't want to make the other guys feel bad". Right....
How can people not know the basic concept of rock, paper, scissors?
"Rock smashes paper? Right?".
I almost forgot, my favorite line is "Wicked cool!".
