Good Morning Vietman Se Delay???
I noticed that Best Buy's and buy.com's site now have the release date as 1/17/06. The same applies for Dead Poets Society. Yet Amazon has it listed as shipping now. Has anyone found these in store?

I googled up an online petition that someone did demanding an SE of Dead Poets. Looks like they were hoping for the extended version, too. I guess they're disappointed in this SE.
These are two movies I will watch if I see them on TV, and I even own Dead Poets on VHS. I'm just not sure if they are worth buying on DVD.
What really bugged me last time I saw Good Morning Vietnam was how Williams' character sees a good looking Vietnamese girl and chases after her. It just seemed so silly - and not in a good way.

These are both going for $11.99 at Best Buy this week, so it's not a problem for me to pick them up. However, as far as special editions go, they are weak at best -- but a step up from the original releases (which isn't hard to do considering they were bare bones).
I liked the extended edition of Dead Poets Society that aired on network television, but since Peter Weir did a commentary for the theatrical version on this DVD, it leads me to believe that this is the version he prefers. But why those scenes wouldn't be on the DVD as "deleted scenes" is beyond me.

I went to Future Shop today and was able to find one copy of Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poets Society SE but they would not let me buy them because the street date was next week and the computer/cash register wouldn't let the cashier proceed with the sale.
BTW, for those that are not familiar with Future Shop, is a Canadian version of Best Buy that is actually owned by them. Best Buy bought the stores but have kept them separately here in Canada.
