Best price for Lynch's Eraserhead- 1/10/06

Almost all the regular B&M and online places have this for about $20 for preorder. Anybody have any info on any advertised prices for next week?

I could be wrong, but Eraserhead is still a niche title; I would be very surprised to see it advertised in any newspaper ads.

Good point, Tolhurst. I guess I'll probably go the Amazon route for this title or wait for DDD's next 20% off sale. But you never know, Best Buy did advertise My Own Private Idaho. Of course, Eraserhead doesn't have the star power of Keanu's huge mug on the cover.

I'm definitely getting this and the short films but I've got a question.
Everywhere I've looked, it says that this and the short films disc
will only be available for a "Limited Time".
Anyone have any info as to how long this will be available??
It might not be around for DDD's 20% sale.

Right now Overstock looks like the best price. But maybe DDD will drop their price on Tuesday.

On the Best Buy website...you can place the title in your cart and check on availability in the stores in your area...saves a trip.

Everyone's selling the Short Films collection for the same price as Eraserhead except Best Buy. Their price is $23.
What would be the reason for this??
Is it because it's a little more obscure than Eraserhead??

I think Eraserhead is going to be one of those titles for which the B&M will completely underestimate the demand.

I'll just stick with my VHS copy unless there is a bonus feature where David Lynch explains what the hell it's supposed to be about (and I'd like that feature also on Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, etc. etc....)

These are by no means gospel, but will help explain some things.

Eraserhead
Lost Highway
Mulholland Drive
Mulholland Drive (Alternate View)
The Straight Story

Same here. In store price was $19.99 so I'm glad I ordered it online. Only drawback was that the incompotent blue shirts didn't even process my order for pick up three hours after it was placed. The dvd was nowhere to be found on the shelves. I had to find a copy on one of those rolling carts among a bunch of other dvds. Only saw about 5 copies as well.
