Movie Theater reviews?
Moving back to Va, from Cali, there aren't very many "quality" theaters out here. Sound/Screen.
I mean, where I used to live, they hada digital screen with THX approved sound systems. I used to base where I'd go to see a movie based on what options they had.
Here in good old VA, I guess sound is not a top concern.
Question:
Are there any websites that review movie theaters?
So I can find out where the higher-tech theaters are located?
Thanks!

what? The new Consolidated theatre that just opened in Alexandria is not good enought?
the best and personal faves in the DC metropolitan area are
Intown:
- The Uptown (Dolby Digital)
- AMC Mazza Galleria: Screens 1,2,4 (THX) (Dolby Digital)
- Regal Gallery Place (Dolby Digital - a couple of screens are Dolby Digital EX)
- Loews Georgetown (all Dolby Digital)
- AMC Union Station (one auditorium is 8-Channel SDDS - I'll post back with details)
The burbs:
- Loews Rio (the upstair screens)
- AMC Tysons Corner (new theatres, great sound)
- Consolidated Theatres: The Majestic (Silver Spring, MD)
- AFI Silver Theatre (THX, Dolby Digital, 70mm equipped) (Silver Spring, MD)
- National Amusements Cinema De Lux (Fairfax VA)
- Hoyts Potomac Yards (VA) (the weekend crowds are a tad overwhelming)
- Regal Ballston Common (VA)
- AMC Courthouse (I think it's screen 4 - it's upstairs: 8-channel SDDS)
well that's a short breakdown of the theatres I like in the DC/VA/MD area.
