This just left the last theater around here. Unless it shows up at the $1.50 theater, I'll be renting on March 14th.

Like so many other movies of 2005, I meant to see this in theaters but never got around to it... This will be a definite rental for me.

My wife and I pulled out the Widescreen version of the P&P English TV version. We will rent the new version when it comes out, but nothing can top the English version:

Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle were born to play they parts of Mr. Darcy and Lizzie.

Looks like Universal pulled up the release date from the materials I originally had. P&P is now due on February 28th.

This does seem quick. It's still playing at the theatres here.

Very good movie. I'll be picking this up.

I don't buy many DVDs (mostly rent), but this is one movie I'll consider buying. I was reluctant to go see this with my wife, but it was engrossing and beautifully shot from start to finish.

Great film! I hope the DVD has good special features. It'd be great to see the following:
1. Featurette on the various film adaptions of P&P through history.
2. Comparison of the book to the film script (addressing changes and omissions for those Austenites out there).

I know many people consider the BBC min-series definitive, which it is, but I tend much more to enjoy feature-length films than I do television mini-series. I hope fans of the book (and BBC version ) will give this DVD a chance.

I know I will! The BBC version is my favorite adaptation but I enjoy seeing other takes on the material and I've heard such great things about this new version. I can't wait to see it.

Interestingly, in my Toronto International Film Festival programme the film's running time for the festival cut is 8min longer. I think I had read somewhere that one of the bonus material is the differing endings one that shown for the US theatrical run and the other for the UK theatrical edition.

Will definitely be getting this one...was skeptical going in to see it, but ended up really loving it. Donald Sutherland was brilliant in his few scenes and the cinematograpy was top notch.

Nice cover. Is that cloth, or does it just look that way?
