The Proud, Mary review was a harsh and uncalled for review of two young African American filmmakers who told a beautiful story. I was at the sold out screening in Atlanta and to see the petite little writer/director/star of the movie in person was amazing. She gave an awesome performance of a struggling singer (she is really a singer, although Mr or Mrs. Nutt blasted her abilities) who suffers from bi-polar (she is a therapist as well, so she knows her stuff). Sure, the movie was low budget, but the actors were great and there were some cool shots. I especially liked when she reviewed her life at the end while in the limo. I don't know where you got this reviewer, but when another supporter passed this link along, many of us were furious. This site is just a joke to hurt serious talent. I can't help but wonder why the mystery reviewer was so hard on the movie and its beautiful star...hmmm. The world may never know. I plan to tell as many people as I can about this, so we can get to the bottom of it.
