Console Size Comparison

Found this interesting picture online. (ps3forums) I believe it is accurate. Pretty interesting.

The PS3 isn't much smaller than an XBox is, but I doubt we'll be hearing the size complaints from people in Japan this time...

Something is screwed up there. If you take the image into MS paint, and place the Revolution next to the PS3, the disc slot is much bigger on the PS3, even though they both are using the same 12cm disc type. Either they need to enlarge the Revolution or Shrink the PS3. Hard to tell without a comparible power input that would be on the back of the console.

Why do comparisons of consoles end in 2000? Stupid.

Wish the PS3 was smaller, as I prefer consoles that will fit under my tv in that hidden part of my entertainment center. Have have my GC and PS2 there, but the X-box is a bit too wide too fit, so looks like the PS3 will be as well.

I find it hilarious that everyone bitched how big the original XBOX was, and the PS3 is just about the same size.....

And I just bitched about the PS3 for the same reason above.

The top pic shows the 360 as 30.9 tall and the PS3 as 32, so the pic above can't be right unless the numbers are wrong.

Those measurements are estimates. There have been no official measurements of the PS3. Its all a guessing game until Sony releases the specs. But you will notice that the industry standard power plug is the same size in the picture I posted, which is a valid comparison between the two. Not sure what the author of the top picture was using to compare the consoles, but I'm guess its wrong.

It's basically a hogwash until the PS3 is finalized. There's no way of knowing which picture has the size right.

Meh. Sorry if it is not accurate, here is some further discussion on the picture:

Comparing the power connect doesn't work either unless you do it yourself and actually compare. Any picture online could have had the connector slot "adjusted" for the creators desired effect.

I've never seen a Gamecube with that disc window before.

I don't think either is correct, it is probably somewhere between the two images.

Come on guys, it's not about the size it's how you use it.
