Will we ever see SHOOT THE MOON on DVD?
SHOOT THE MOON(1982) is one of Alan Parker's best films. It is also one of Albert Finneys best performances. Its a shame that this fine film is still not on dvd.

Although famously championed by the New Yorker's Pauline Kael at the time of its release, Shoot the Moon never seemed to find an audience the way, say, Kramer vs. Kramer did. Though I think Kael overstated its worth, the acting is uniformly excellent by Finney, Diane Keaton, and the four young actresses who played the daughters (including future TV stalwarts Tracey Gold, Tina Yothers, and the late Dana Hill).
It was produced by MGM in 1982, which means that Warner controls the rights. And I agree that it is long overdue for a DVD release.

DVD Talk Legend
That was the last program shown on ON-TV in Detroit before it went out of business back in 1983.

While I really can't fault any of the acting, man was that a gut-wrenching film to sit through. Kinda left me very sorry in a way that I had watched it. Not exactly one of your "feel-good" movies.
