American Pie Present: Band Camp - Thoughts?

So out of boredoom and having a cashcard, I broke down and purchased "American Pie Presents Band Camp" Today... and I actually kinda liked it... what did other people think about it?

I plan on buying it sometime this week, I loved the first 3 movies and I love cheesy unnecessary movie sequels, so I'm all over this. Of course all the "smart" movie critics on the forum will turn their nose up at it without even seeing it, and that just makes me want to see it even more. I bet they didn't even like Cruel Intentions 3

I enjoyed it. Definitely not a bad movie, like I was expecting.

I don't think it has enough replay value for a 14-15 dollar purchase. It had some funny moments, but it's a rental.

Lol... unbelievable, cheesy, and umb... that was kinda the charm of the movie. I will admit that I love throw-away sequels ("Cruel Intentions 3" & "Skulls 2" come to mind), but this was a funny movie...

I'll probably rent it, the fact that it went straight to video doesn't make it attractive.

Well, looks like I'll have to check at BlockBuster, since Blockbuster.com has all 3 version listed but the P&S is available now and the WS version in Coming Soon still. Sucks, since they usually always get the WS version of the movie. Hopefully they fix it.

There was the brief shower scene and a few others that were good.

There was the brief shower scene and a few others that were good. Oh yeah, the main girl never gets naked. There is a part where she starts to get naked and stiffler's brother shuts the laptop. I hate that!!

I never actually expected the main female character to get naked... Knowing her past (which includes a handful of "Gilmore girls" episodes), I was surprised she was even in the film in the first place... But she actually added to the movie I think...

Saw it last night. Pleasantly surprised. I thought it was worth the $11.99 I paid for it.

The Ginger Lynn Love Lessons was a big waste of time. It was probably one of the worst special features i've seen this year. And time hasn't been too kind to her either. I thought she looked rather rough around the edges and not a sight for sore eyes.

Cheezy and dumb in parts, but better than I was expecting. I actually thought the returning characters were the worst part of this, as they felt forced and not really like their prior appearances.
Spoiler:
The Sherminator was pretty annoying, as he was quoting Star Trek stuff (Stardate...) instead of Terminator stuff like in the previous films, it didn't really make sense.

The bad? The Stiffler bro was too forced at times, and the whole basic story made no sense.
Spoiler:
The idea that Stiffler Jr. wouldn't have been interested in that hot lead chick because she was a 'bandie' is weird, as you'd think he'd be trying to nail every hot piece of ass, just because.

But all in all, it still was entertaining. Probably better than some other recent comedies I've seen that actually did make it to theaters.

This film pleasantly surprised me, the acting was mediocre at times but overall it kept me watching. The film probably could have done without the cameos of characters from the previous films… but they were nice, and the references to Jim, Michelle, and Steve were nice too. I’m glad they kept the same setting used in American Pie 2 for Band Camp also… but was that the same high school setting? The only thing I don’t like about this release is the cover art. The three of the central characters in the film aren’t even on it; instead the skimpy band counselor characters replace them. This was probably done for sex appeal… but I’ve seen other region releases that at least included the female lead on the cover.
