Looking for "extreme sport" PC game(s) for 8 y/o

My nephew is 8 y/o and he's nuts about skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, etc... I know about the Tony Hawk games but they seem to be rated 'T' for teen. Anything available out there for an 8 y/o? Doesn't have to be a new 2005 game, but of course I still have to be able to find it. Also it must be a PC game and run on the following system:

Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz
512 MB de mémoire (cadencée à 333 Mhz)
Carte vidéo intégrée (chipset Intel 845G) 32 MB empruntée à la mémoire vive
de 512 MB
Carte de son intégrée (chip Intel ICH4 AC'97 2.2)

Yeah, it's in french but you get the idea.

So, any recommendations?

If push comes to shove I'll tell his mom to get a new video card, cause that integrated one is crap.

Extreme.

To be honest, I don't think you're going to have luck filling the bill with a rated E game. Er.. wait, I found something.. Backyard Skateboarding. It might not be "eXXXtreme!!!" enough but it looks like it might be a good game for an 8 year old.

If the money isn't an issue, I would recommend getting a console instead. Not many of the extreme sports games are released on PC, but there are many on the consoles. Does he have a gamepad for his PC? If he doesn't, by the time you get one of those and a new videocard, you're not far from the price of a console.

I must have read your mind because I went to Best Buy this morning and bought a GameCube.

In that case, pick up SSX 3 or SSX On Tour! They're both rated T (I'm not sure why) but it's easily the best "extreme" sports game.

i think the only reason tony hawk's and SSX are Teen is the language in the soundtrack.

That's probably right.. I've owned every SSX game and that'd be the only thing I can think of. Though, doesn't Tony Hawk has some more juvenile gang stuff in it like spray painting cops or something? I seem to remember seeing that in the commercials (at least for the new Underground series).

Thanks guys, I'll check these out. I also noticed a snowboarding game. Can't remember the title exactly but I think it also started with 'SS' something... Is it any good?
