For those buying Serenity & BSG 2.0 (or S1) -- Instant $10 off

There is a coupon attached to both BSG 2.0 and Serenity to be used for an Instant $10 off. This is not store specific as I saw it at CC, BB and WM.

It is good on buying S1 of BSG and Serentity as well.

You can also order online at BB.com for this same deal.

Never mind... I figured it out from another post - BattleStar Galactica.

Probably because they're released by two different studios.

Do you have to buy them both at the same time?

Just bought BSG and SERENITY at Best Buy, and since the "$10 off" coupon was on both, I handed them both to the cashier and ended up getting $20 off. That, along with my Fry's pricematch, netted me both DVDs for a very nice $25!

$25 total for both?

Damn!

What is the Fry's price? Is there an ad online? I dont have those stores in my area. I wonder if I were able to present the price, if BB would pricematch it here?

That sounds like you can use the coupon seperately if you already bought one or the other, right?

Man I sure wish I could get a BB cashier that clueless

To quote EXACTLY what the coupon says ....

$10 off when you buy Serenity and Battlestar Galactica Season 1 or 2.0 on DVD Expires 1/17/06

You have to buy them together. I'm pretty sure the cashier screwed up. You're supposed to scan a barcode on the coupon, but she entered the amounts manually.

At my Best Buy, although when the coupon was scanned "$10 off Serenity" appeared in the register's display, the $10 was NOT taken off. The cashier had to manually take $5 off each title.

But it does not say they have to be bought together.

The Best Buy "double-whammy" happened to me also!

I had a copy of both Serenity and Battlestar Galactica 2.0. When I got to the register, I peeled one of the coupons off and handed it to the cashier. She scanned it and took $10 off of the purchase. She then proceeded to tear the other coupon off, scan it, and take $10 more off of the purchase! I got BSG 2.0 for $22.99 AND Serenity for $7.99.

Pretty sure the "and" part of the sentence means you have to but both together...

I took advantage of this great deal too. But I didn't go for the "double whammy."

A word of warning - my local Walmart (in Houston at I-45 & El Dorado) did not have the 'save $10' stickers on either Serenity or Battlestar Galactica.

The local Fry's I shop (Concord, CA) was removing the stickers from the packages as they stocked them yesterday. I don't know if they're honoring the $10 off deal.

Nuts! I preordered them both online, and from different vendors (DDD and Overstock). Oh well.

I just went to Mejiers and used the coupon off my Serenity DVD (which I bought from Amazon) and used it JUST on Battlestar Galactica 2.0... Didn't even have to argue that it doesn't state both must be on the same receipt.
