Teenage Love Stories?

What are some movies that are now on DVD where the parents of their children don't want to be with one another? OR...

teenage love stories?

it must be PG-13 or lesser.

The only one I can think of is the remake of "Romeo & Juliet" with Leo and Claire.

What others?

Hrm... what about Inventing the Abbotts. The added bonus of Jennifer Connelly comes with that one.

China Girl, but I'm not sure if parents were involved. And it was probably stronger than PG13, so yeah I got nothing.

The Outsiders?

I can't really think of any movies, but I seem to remember this theme in just about every 80s sitcom at least once.

Yes. Tom Cruise and the ex-wife are characters who the "parents of their children don't want to be with one another". Is it the parents that don't want to be together, or the kids that the parents don't want together.

In either case, Parent Trap works, right?

Or is it supposed to be TWO sets of parents of TWO DIFFERENT children that they are trying to keep apart that the OP is asking for?

Does it matter if it's only one-side of the parents that doesn't want the kids together, like Coming to America (royal family doesn't want child with poorer family) or Cinderella (poorer family doesn't want child to be with royal family)?

How about a kid that wants to keep another kid from his parent/(mom):
American Pie.

Head hurts....

not incest! like "Romeo and Juliet". where the parents of separate families do not want their children to be with one another.

or just give me teenage love stories, like "Say Anything".

I guess with the Romeo & Juliet analogy it is simply two sets of parents who don't want their respective kids seeing each other.

Titanic? Okay, it's just one parent in that one.

Why does it have to be PG-13 or lesser? Is this for a kid whose parents don't want to be with each other?
