70mm: horizontal (??)

What exactly does this mean? How is this different from standard 70mm films. According to the posted link it looks like its a process utilized for several if not all IMAX and IMAX DMR'ed films: I thought IMAX and 70mm were mutually exlusive film stocks.

Yep, Imax uses 70mm film stock run horizontally.

That is a great pic. What's really cool is you can pick up a frame of an IMAX film and instantly recognize what it is, like a small photograph. The clarity is amazing.
