Who here uses their GBA the most out of all their portable consoles?

I have a GBA, PSP, and DS, and the GBA gets the most action (the PSP gets no action at all). Metroid Fusion, the Mario Advances, Tetris Worlds... so many great games. My GBA is years and years old, has been dropped countless times, and still works like a charm. Nintendo does make good quality consoles.

Who else here uses their GBA the most out of all their portable consoles?

P.S. I don't game at home, only on the go, so my XBOX, Gamecube, and PS2 are not even connected. I'm not going to buy the next generation consoles.

No way. By far I use the DS the most. The only reason I'm even keeping my GBA is to link it to my GC.

Why don't you play your GBA games on DS? They look better IMO.

Before the DS, sure. I've barely played any GBA games since Minish Cap.

Hell, I probably play my GBA more than my TV consoles.. though games like Dragon Quest VIII come up every once in a while that put the TV consoles back in the race. When I used to work tech support I got at least 6 hours a day on it.. but that was a LONG time ago.

The GBA is the only one that I own. So that's a given.

Considering the GBA sold 900,000 units in November (compared to 550,000 PS2s, 380,000 DSes and 360,000 PSPs) I think it's safe to say you're not alone, Deb. I'm still shocked at those numbers. I just hope this means we still have some AAA titles to come for the little guy (other than Final Fantasy IV, V and VI of course).

People wonder why Nintendo continues to claim the DS is not the GBA replacement...

I don't use the DS because there's a wasted screen... I love how little the GBA is (and I have a Famicro backordered at Amazon.com).

Well to be fair, those Nov. numbers are a bit skewed due to some great black friday prices for the GBASP.

Uh... two words: Animal Crossing. I'll probably play that game more than the PSP and GBA combined this year (although I did spend a long time on FF 1&2, and I'll probably pick up 4).

The SP is a lot easier to carry around than the DS, though. I'm contemplating buying another one with the better screen.

Back in the day I had 2 of the original GBAs. Played it a bit back then. I never upgraded to an SP, but did get a DS which my wife took over. I got a PSP and I've been enjoying the homebrew a lot on there.

Since the DS actually started having a number of good games out I've been playing that the most. I've managed to get over the largish size since, but a smaller version would be nice.

I don't own a PSP so I play my DS the most. I still feel it's a little awkward to use the DS with the stylus for a game like Animal Crossing, but I put up with it because I love the games.

I don't use the stylus at all for moving my character around in AC... but it's invaluable when selecting items from inventory or "typing" out letters. Simple, true, but great.

On a game like Advance Wars, however, I don't use the stylus at all.

Well I've been playing DS games more than my PS2, Gamecube, and GBA combined. Seriously, portable systems have kicked the asses of consoles, including the "next generation." Still going through Phoenix Write: Ace Attorney and having an incredible time. i haven't been able to play it in a week though due to some personal things with my life right now, but at the end of this week i'll have enough time.

The DS backward compatibility is nice, but nothing beats the size of the SP, best console design IMO, I said it in another thread and I'll say it again, it's THE perfect size for a portable console, not ot mention the speed and portability. I read in another thread there's a PSP game that has loading times? That boggles my mind, defeats the purpose of a portable.

My Game Boy still has long stretches were it dominates, but the last month or so its been all DS. I'll try and pick up FFIV so I get it some GBA gaming soon.

Oh I definitely don't try to control with the stylus, but I always feel like I have to have it out so I end up chewing on it half the time. Sometimes I feel like controlling with it though because for some reason the D-pad shreds me almost as bad as the Dreamcast one did.

Currently my GBA Micro gets the most action. I just love GBA games, especially the classic Mario ones. However, with MarioKart and Animal Crossing on DS, the GBM may collect dust for a while, along with my PSP, which I rarely ever use save for some GTA.

Recent DS releases have skewed this, but my GBA used to get the most love out of me out of any of my gaming systems. Since Mario Kart and Animal Crossing, my portable habits have changed, and games such as Fire Emblem on the Cube have also lessened the need for my GBA. Given time though, and with some recent purchases waiting to be played, I am sure my GBA will get back up there.
