Best Price on King Kong Production Diaries?

After reading some reviews i'm kinda pumped about getting this, but i really haven't seen any prices for B&M yet. So anyone know the prices for any stores yet? I know online it can be found for under $30 but i'd rather pick it up day of.

As of right now all i know is that Best Buy has it for $32.99.

I really think they're going to eventually put this in there so called ultimate edition when the movie comes out on dvd. Wouldn't it be best to just wait until then to get a full package rather than pay for this at this price. It will be less to pay in the long run. Don't you guys think?

i think this may have been mentioned in the the dvd thread, but, IIRC, PJ has said a completely different set of extras has been filmed for the eventual dvd release.

All these rumors about the production diaries being on the King Kong release need to stop. I think there's some feeling out there that because LOTR had two editions that people were being tricked into paying twice. That just wasn't the case. Two different movies, two different sets of extras, plenty of warning that it was happening.

I don't have a Costco near me. The cheapest I've seen at a B&M is Target for $29.99. I was able to price match this at Best Buy today so I could get the Reward Zone points.

Picked it up at Walmart in Portland for $24.88. Incredible amount of extras inside, and a great looking package.

My local Costco had it for $25.59, but hey, what's a dime? They only had 8 sets, so maybe the limited number thing's for real.

Roger Ebert featured this set on his show this week. he showed off his Certificate of Authenticity, and it was some number greater than 250,000 so I wouldn't be too worried about rushing right out to get one.

No. I don't think it is wise for anyone wanting this to wait just because Roger_d from the DVDTALK message boards thinks it will be included with the movies DVD release.

Sounds like you got a bad Walmart! Also sometimes the good prices are on Tuesday only.

Just saw King Kong at a multiplex near me. WOW !! Just cant believe a CGI ape can be made to look so ultra realistic. Sheer spectacle..and Naomi Watts is one pretty Goldilocks indeed !! you dont realize even a minute of the 180 minute feature tick by..cant believe this is from a director that started off with B-horror movies..way to go, PJ

I think I saw it for 26.99 at Target, but since no one else has mentioned it I doubt it was in the flyer.

Picked up the set from Best Buy last night. Very classy package. Goes good with my Kong scrapbook that I got from Best Buy last week. Now I just have to watch the damn discs.

Almost picked this up, but I'm going to wait until after I see the movie. For one thing its really a one disc set. If its under 4 hours it could easily fit on one DVD-9. I like the other stuff included so I'll decide on it later.
